It’s not just the derby. Everton winning home games in the spring to finish 8th is not anything new. Winning away from home consistently is new, winning at the top 6 is new, beating Liverpool is new, winning crunch games is new. If Ancelotti does any of the new things then he is different, if this group of players just trots out why they did for Koeman and Silva then we don’t know for sure that anything has changed.

No but we need to see quality players and not just cheap prospects.
 
Per some comment in media like Royal Blue Mersey Carlo is here for the long run, to take a team into the new stadium and perhaps extend his tenure.
