phew thats nowrich, wba and cardiff out the way now so our season can start in our next game against chelsea

That's three matches utterly dominated. This system is working, no question. We desperately need a striker in who can give us a few.

the thing is unless he s a top class striker( which i dont think we have money for) and get goals out of absolutely nothing cant see much changing because we are trying to walk the ball into the net theres hasnt been too many clear cut chances that i can recall

Thoughts:

Howard - Can stay in the team is doing fine.

Coleman - Automatic pick
Jagielka/Distin - Currently doing fine.
Baines - Automatic pick, but has he played his last game?

Osman - Worst player by a country mile and somehow got another 90 mins. Must give a boss BJ.
Fellaini - Pretty anonymous the past few games in league. Mind elsewhere? Martinez ruined him forcing him to play deep?
Mirallas - Has been terrible so far this season and a shambles today.
Pienaar - Looked ok but so slow, so predictable. Should be fighting for a starting spot but surprise surprise nobody to challenge him.
Barkley - Positive in play, at the moment has to start but ideally will know he needs to play well to stay in team.

Jelavic/Kone - Both Championship standard at best and you have to question the manager for spending 5m on Kone. Awful player.

as far as i m aware thats his fav position to play in

The system is working, but mainly everything is too slow. By the time we get to the edge of the box their defence is totally organised and any space is easily snuffed out.

From Moyes to Martinez Mid-Table ****e in about 10 weeks. Impressive.

I know its still early days and its knee jerk but I am starting to wonder if we all got carried away with Kenwright's "Bobby will lead us to the promised land....."

He needs to show he can see what were all seeing and address these issues quickly.

It always baffles me when a professional footballer wont just put his laces through the ball with his weaker foot when the chance arises like it did twice in that second half with both Jelavic and Mirallas.

Some of you need to calm down, our away record last season under Moyes was pretty bad, Mirallas and coleman were ****e, we cant lose Baines. Just remember remain calm, that the best approach for now.

What's sad is as soon as Moyes left it was all so fecking predictable. Nothing's certain yet, but this is how I said things would pan out, almost to the letter. Poor signings, frustrating tika taka, teams knowing exactly what we're going to do and players looking to get off.

When Martinez came in you knew the football would be as, if not more, frustrating than the more direct approach under Moyes.

Regardless, not a terrible result, but we've had our easy 4 games to bed our lads in. Now for Chelsea there can be no excuses, pull your fingers out and have a few shots. That's all we ask. Shocking refereeing denied us a penalty and a jammy deflection allowed us to register a good effort on target, but in the final third we were, yet again, pathetic.

Feel sorry for those who travelled only to see us pass it around aimlessly for 90 minutes. Mirallas was awful. Probably just a blip, but that can't continue. Coleman had one of those games we know he is well capable of and why he is not and never will be worth some of the ridiculous fees bandied around on here. The lack of a right side meant all they had to do was shut down the left and we had nothing. Literally nothing to answer with.

We need several players. NOT James McCarthy, unless we want more of (to a t) today. We need a striker urgently and we need a quality baller to go with Felli in the middle (if he stays) and Barry as back up.
