Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Barkley Gibson
Deulofeu Fellaini Pienaar
Mirallas

what do you think, would Mirallas as a striker work? I think he would do much better than anyone else we have there.

Mirallas up front on his own is the latest niche idea amongst blues but it wouldn't work. Ideally if were gonna be pressing a team we need two strikers and tomorrow we'll need the extra height back for defending set pieces.

I agree, Mirallas would give us no physical presence up top as a lone forward. He'd be asking to come off well before half time after being bullied off the ball by the Cardiff back line once too often for his liking.

Well done Azul. MY favorite weekly read. I love that I get some footie insight with the added bonus of sociological examination of the week's opponent. And I learn new words that I try to throw into regular conversation here only to be met with bewilderment.

Togger. Nice.

Very thoughtful preview that Chico..........I'm really worried about this fixture.........we'll still batter them 4-1........"what's our name"........

We're not in a Brett Angell and Stuart Barlow up front situation so..... yes we'll batter them.

Heitinga up front it is then following in the footsteps of Steve Watson.

We should be snotting these by a few. They've had their big result against City, this is the game that will bring them back down to Earth.

True. A lot of us were saying Norwich would snot us and we ended up outplaying them comfortably. Good chance for three points tomorrow and given the very easy first four games we've been given, if we fail to win, we've had a poor start.

They will be buoyant after that victory against City. I think this will be a difficult game but I think we can win, whether we will remains to be seen but I can only imagine United's recurring interest will be a disruptive force.

Cardiff 2-2 Everton
