Captain Pip to sign for.....

I know this is standard sport fan logic but I never understood why it's so bad for someone to keep playing as long as they can. This seems like far more of an issue for us than the athletes themselves. It's pretty logical to play as long as you can and if you need to step down a level or two to continue then why not? Some choose to retire instead but if you want to play another year at a lower level why does this bother people?

It wasn't his fault he was played too much this year -- he's hardly going to tell a manager to put him on the bench instead.

He's not good enough for a Euro chasing side but if he wants to play for a side lower down the table/leagues then why not?

Why is our reaction not "wow he must love to play football and doesn't have an ego about it" instead of "why is he embarrassing himself?"

Spot on.

He still enjoys football and despite what anybody says he's still got a lot to offer possibly a newly promoted club or a club in the Championship.

not being funny, but what exactly does he have to offer to a newly promoted team? experience? ok, that's fine. but he was absolutely awful against every team he played against this season. the same teams he would be playing against next season.

It would be a great deal for QPR if they could convince him to move down there.

It's a drop down in division so Neville still might be a decent player, and he's an absolute grass apparently, like having two managers but one is your teammate. QPR look like a club who could do with a bit of that.

When he starts his career in management, I hope he goes on to succeed, and IF he did, and if he ever became good enough for Everton, then I'd love to have him back.

Shame he never lifted a trophy for us really.

Qpr, hull, bury...whatever your personel views on nev can guarantee he won't be short of offers.

IMO he will end up at qpr and as captain. Harry will pretty much start again with that team. He's a known admirer of nev and I'm pretty sure as long as a lot of players are cleared out nev would jump at the chance.

I also think he would do a good job for them on and off the field.
