captain next season?? who would be your choice

Yobo isnt vocal enough, he was criticized for this as nigeria captain. i dont think Lescott is vocal enough either, possibly Jagielka?

Cahill would be a great captain, but his recent injurys are a worry. we would need someone else when he was unavailable.

cant see Neville leaving though, he will be captain next season.

Yeah have to agree, apart from Jagielka.

If Moyes considers Carsley a first team player next year then maybe him. But to be honest, if we was going to be captain then am sure he would have been by now.

I fully expect Neville to remain captain next year...
 
Cahill, Hopefully it would give him a sense of duty towards the club and not rush off whenever Aus comes calling.

Iv wrote the same stuff myself before, Yobo an lescott just dont seem to be captian material. Jags will be one day but not yet.

As others have put, can't see neville leaving in the summer so i'd have him again.
 

I would seriously consider Cahill as captain. TBH, I don't rate Neville at all. As a player, he does a reasonable job at best, and then only in defense. He is also the one of two players we have that really need replacing as soon as possible (the other being Carsley). So it seems that retaining him as capatain is just delaying things.
 
Lescott for me. You don't have to be local to be a good captain. Gerrard isn't vocal and look at him. Lescott isn't quiet and he's a good organiser. At freekicks and set pieces he's the one telling everyone what to do. He also has the ability and consistency to go with it.

Cahill would be my vice captain. He offers a more agressive captain. I think having the calm and collected Lescott and the agressive Cahill is the best was to go and gives us more options.

I think Jagielka a little too young to be skipper may be in 2 years time he would be ready, Howard would made a good skipper in the mean time.
 

Yobo and LEscott aren't vocal enough, and Howard is in goal, and i think a captain should be closer to the players...

So i'd say Jagielka or Cahill, however Neville will remain captain

I agree I would have no qualms about placing the captains armband on Jags even if he is not one of the oldest - just look at Kevin R.
