Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Absolutely hideous decision.

Thats 450,000 fans in the Prem alone, possibly 900k across the country travelling to games, hand rails etc will be used, trains, buses etc travelled on...

Belgium, Netherlands, US, Portugal and Greece cancelling their leagues, F1 cancelling, Rugby cancelling... yet we’re deciding it’s fine!

Leicester have players self isolating, so if they miss out on CL by less than3 points cause some of their star players can’t play, is that fine?

ludicrous decision, money before lives clearly.

2,000,000 people a day use the tube in London.... packed in like sardines in a can on wheels.

Closing down sporting events is a token gesture.

It’s not a token gesture.

Any large public gathering which is cancelled slows down the spread. The entire strategy our government is taking is to enforce a slow spread through the population to keep the NHS standing up and the economy in one piece.

All professional sport should be binned.

Yes, bit of a difference - one is people generally getting to and from jobs to earn a living; the other is a complete optional leisure activity that people can live without.

And even with the former, there are many employers now taking measures to have their workforce work from home.
