Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

So again your dealing purely in speculation. In attempting to justify your own selfish desire to win the title (at any cost) you try and justify your position by leveraging the potential misfortune of other less wealthy clubs.

That's low cookcachoo even by your standards.

Oh I don’t know about that. He said the other day that he’d resume playing in June if the death rate had flattened. Over 500 dying every day.

How is it speculation? lol

Have a look how much Bolton and Bury are in the hole for, then have a look how much we donated. Square those two numbers off against each other, mate.

Do you know this for certain? Do you have documented proof that these clubs would allowed to fold?

If not then it is surely speculation.

It’s not possible that the Euro’s are played mid-season, as the 2022 World Cup was originally scheduled to be? Or pushed back further, when they’ve already pushed it back once?

I’d say that’s very close minded. Anything is possible at this stage.

They won't have the Euro's in winter 2021, 12 months out from the WC. Even having it 17 months apart is likely to impact on the sponsorship.

At the end of the day UEFA is going to regard the euro's/CL above the national leagues and something has to give. Due you void this season with the PL losing what we believe is 750 odd million that will need to be paid back or try and finish this season and end up not getting a penny from the TV companies for next season if a 2nd wave prevents any football being played after the last 9/10 games are rushed to completion.

Can't see how the league would have to pay back.

After all these companies would want to continue sponsoring the game.

Can’t believe people are talking about getting the league going again at the moment ; this just hammers it in. It’s really crazy out there at the moment

It is terrible news for Pep, shows this has affected absolutely everyone. Awful stuff.

It looks like we’re approaching the peak of infections over the next week or so, providing this period is managed reasonably well, then lockdown measures can start to be reduced in the coming weeks and we can start to return to a certain degree of normality.

Clueless
