Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

Oh yeah, what clubs are voluntarily going to cover their obligations, mate?

Are all the clubs going to rally together and sort them out like they did for Parma, Bury and Rushden and Diamonds?

Everton did it for Bolton just a few months ago.

Not all football club owners have the same outlook as Liverpool. As I said - it will a different world after all of this is over.

Or is being equally delayed in line with the current one?
They wouldn’t.

They would have the same break in between as they do between normal seasons.

Then “next” season commences 2 months after the finish of the current one, whenever the authorities decide that will be.

Not possible if that means the season finishes as the EURO's are going on or after it.

The season has to have a start point to ensure all fixtures are completed before the Euro's start.

With respect, a weeks staff wages is not going to define whether these clubs exist or not.

It’s not possible that the Euro’s are played mid-season, as the 2022 World Cup was originally scheduled to be? Or pushed back further, when they’ve already pushed it back once?

I’d say that’s very close minded. Anything is possible at this stage.

What was this mate?

Didn't Kenwright try and save Bury but wasn't allowed to in the end?

The club donated a week’s staff wages to Bolton for those who weren’t getting paid.

Great gesture, no question. Unfortunately, in the grand scheme of things it’s a drop in the ocean for what the Bolton’s and Bury’s need and it’s not going to define their solvency.

Neither is having to pay the playing staff for 3/4 months while they sit idle, there has to be a cut off point, especially as lower league clubs have a lot of short term contracts

So again your dealing purely in speculation. In attempting to justify your own selfish desire to win the title (at any cost) you try and justify your position by leveraging the potential misfortune of other less wealthy clubs.

That's low cookcachoo even by your standards.

You realise Bolton are dead certs to be relegated this season so it would actually be financially beneficial for them to have the season voided and remain in L1?

The provisional dates for the competition is 11 June - 11 July 2021.

As the standard season finishes mid May in normal circumstances ie a Mid August start, then any pushback to this date means that there wont be enough time to finish the season before the Euro's start. Or the players will play right through from the end of next season straight into the Euro's, then straight back to pre-season trainining for the 21-22 season

Either way, the season is 38 games long with cup games also (dont forget the Championship/Leagues 1 and 2 play around 46-48 games) so there has to be enough time to fit these in.

How is it speculation? lol

Have a look how much Bolton and Bury are in the hole for, then have a look how much we donated. Square those two numbers off against each other, mate.

You do realise why the 2022 WC got moved to mid season right? And why it’s nowhere near possible for a Euros to be played outside of Summer?

Breaking news on the Athletic, (not copied and pasted) FIFA is to confirm an indefinite extension to the current season, allowing each country’s FA to determine when campaigns finish.

To be announced in the next 48 hours, FIFA will alter the dates of the summer transfer window and permit contract extensions for players whose deals run out on June 30.

It is thought this decision significantly reduces the chances of a null and void season, with one Premier League club commenting it was a “really sensible decision...”
Congratulations on your tainted trophy. FYI nobody will ever consider it legitimate.

Nobody will remember who "won" this season in years to come. The only thing people will remember about this season is how you lot behaved like scabs, placed your none playing staff on furlough despite making a small fortune and leeched off the tax payer during a time of national emergency. The actions of your club won't be forgive or forgotten.
