Can we win the league in the near future?

Unfortunately we won't challenge for the title until we can pay some players in and around £100k per week
 

I don't think it would take as much money as some people are mentioning. I think you could get Remy, Bony and Tadic for less than 40 million. I think we could give it a proper go if we added that to our already top draw defence.
 
Lukaku has 13 in 26 or so games; another striker who would have come in and taken the burden off him when his form dipped and he got injured and we'd easily 6-9 points better off. I think the spurs game would have been a winner, stoke away, sunderland at home and you're right in contention.

the mentality is there, we kust need to start filling the squad
 
The only thing stopping us from winning the league is not having a world class striker.

In all honesty and I don't think im being bias I think our defence and midfield is better than the redshites. If we had Suarez and Sturridge we would definitely be up there, they're are the only ones that make the difference.

We absolutely can and we absolutely will.
 
We will categorically never ever win the title with our current owners in charge.

They have no ambition to spend what is required to turn us into a regular top 4 side

You do know Rodgers has spent just on 100m in two seasons

To put that into perspective Everton have spent 160m in 10 years
 
if we finish 4th season, we can win it next season......the standard in the premier league is terrible...united won it last year because of van persie....liverpool will win it this year because if Suarez....
if we get champions league, and sign a top striker in the summer, we would have as good a chance as anyone.....

just remember in January, we were neck & neck with Liverpool....then lukaku got injured and it cost us against Liverpool, spurs & Chelsea....had lukaku (or another good striker) been able to play in those games, we'd probably have taken 6 points instead of zero, and be in a fantastic spot right now.....

plus we started the first 3 games (against poor teams) slowly as the players were still adapting to Martinez style of football.....

what's the competition? Chelsea, their manager is afraid his team can't handle pressure, and judging by the weekend they cant........City?, no character, they rely on moments of individual brilliance rather than being a great team....Liverpool?, we dominated them at goodison.....United?, they have to rebuild big time, and without champs league football that will be harder than they think....
