Just because people disagree with one group's ideology does not mean they are opposed to protest. I would protest if i felt the movement had the right aims, and didn't stop protesting as soon as the team started winning.

There was never a great turn out from the beginning. The incident with the tape recorder - which I didn't think was a big deal at first, but judging from people's reactions was our 9/11 - just gave the majority an excuse not to bother.

The whole thing is baffling to me. Kenwright can't go six months without saying something which is at best disingenuous, and at worst a barefaced lie, but the general consensus is that his heart's in the right place. The Blue Union taped a meeting on the sly and were subsequently written off as a gang of treacherous bastards.

I wouldn't mind, but their only aim was to see an interim board appointed. You'd think it was the Munich Putsch.

Anyway, that's all done with now. As far as I'm concerned change at boardroom level isn't even worth thinking about because it's not going to happen.

If we show the form in the next 10 weeks as we've shown since the turn of the year, he will have lost a lot of the support many still give him. He lost mine at anfield last year, and a cup win wouldn't change that for me if he continues his obsession with defending one goal leads from a position of strength.

He'll win me - and a huge chunk of the currently disillusioned/cheesed off fan-base - back if he nails the Cup, and grows a pair in the meantime (we're unlikely to achieve the former unless he does the latter).

I don't hold out much hope, but football kind of sucks you right in and takes over your life, so it's going to be a rollercoaster ride regardless.

i just dont like him at the moment, but if he wins the cup and he signs..i'll be happy(obviously), i just wish he'd cheer up in interviews and smile/make jokes like he used too, hes a football manager, not working down the pit for chr1sts sake...

I hate to say it, but isn't at least part of the whole point of professional sport to actually win? It says a lot about Evertonians that they continue to support the club even when periods of a complete lack of success run to decades rather than just a season here and there.

If United didn't win a trophy for 18 months their fans would probably be screaming for blood, yet alone 18 years.

Even if all the teams above collapse and we win the league I want rid. So tired of:
-the dour mood
- negative tactics
- no plan B approach
- favortisme towards many players even when they are not performing
- only giving youth one chance and then they never get a glimpse of the first team again
- never just giving it a go

True, but the United then and the United now are completely different clubs. The current version has been built on the foundation of the Premier League, Champions League and Sky money. Once in it, the revenue streams are almost good enough to ensure that you can stay there. If United failed to win anything this season, or in say 2014 or 2015 things would become different very quickly.

Twenty five years ago you could win nothing and still be able to compete financially. It's a tragedy that Everton had those 1980s and then went into the Premier League era on a downward spiral. Success in the PL/CL was rewarded financially far more than previously and the clubs that succeeded in the early PL and CL years have been able to keep succeeeding as the gulf between those that succeed and those that dont has widened exponentially.

I actually fear for interviewers when I watch him interviewed. Sometimes he can be really sour

I think most fans will forget this whole thing if he signs and then has success

He'll always have my backing because I think he's a very good manager who works under redicilous at times conditions.

Maybe I'm naive but I firmly believe the contract situation currently happening he is doing for the good of the players and fans by pushing the board.

Mr Moyes has unfortunately lost me as a supporter -
winning the FA CUP by beating Wigan and 1 maybe one more PL side won't change that -
another 4 years of the same under him is not something i look forward to -
Moyes has used the smallest number of players of all the coaches in the PL -
his subs and sides are so predictable and unimmagianative that the opposition does not need a crystal ball to know exactly what they are going to face -
his total lack of trust in young players and unwaivering faith in some has beens is stifeling Everton's progress -
his body language is very negative bordering on the depressive -
he does not appear like an inspiring coach on the sideline but looks more like a disgruntled schoolmaster working with naughty kids-
he shows no commitment to the club by keeping them on a string with the contract issue -
what p1$$e$ me off is this attitude of that if i don't find a nice beautifull rich girlfriend i will take my old wife back -
i watch Everton for recreation and some exitement - if Mr Moyes can't produce it i am wasting my time -
if i had any say i would dump him because having a relationship with him is not rewarding and fun anymore

A lot depends on the mood at a club at a particular time.At the moment I feel that Everton supporters are not as buoyant as we should be ,we are still in the chase for a CL spot(although less so after last Saturday) and we are in the sixth round of the cup.
Yet I sense a lot of supporters are dissatisfied.I think there are a few reasons for this.
No signings in January which is not the managers fault.
The uncertainty over the contractwhich the manager could clarify to some degree.We practically all belief he will leave if possible anyway.
The managers refusal to give some of the younger players at the club a chance...Duffy,Barkley,Vellios(I am not convinced by him),McAleny and just maybe even Lundstram.Their was a mixed team put out against Leeds and although the experienced players were as bad if not worse than the youngsters,it is the youngsters have taken the blame apparently.
A lack of ambition in team selection in particular at home against weak teams.

These are the negatives..there are positives and plenty of them ,but I am simply trying to see why the mood at Everton seems to be so glum.

....Moyes signs a new contract, a few bob is spent on a couple of players with real quality and everybody will have a spring in their step for the new season. Especially if the FA Cup is in the cabinet.
