Can the damage be repaired ?

Have I missed something?

We are 6th in the league, and in the FA cup quarter final.

And people are saying they want the manager out because they don't like his body language in interviews.

The problem with Everton is the lack of investment in the club from the board.

If people think Moyes leaving will lead to anything other than a slow drift back down the table they are severely deluded.

Not if we get a manager in who exudes the word "awesome" from his body language in interviews.

Needs to win the cup as a start.

He's always split fans and more think he's a tool after this contract game but it's about the silverware - talking about finances and net spend isn't what footy is about and so desperate are we he could get away with it.

Certainly damaged his beatification.

Not arsed one way or the other, will only be remembered as Billy Liars side kick and won a big SWEET FKUC ALL IN 10 YEARS.Mind the door dose,nt hit ya on the arse on the way out.

I wouldn't care if he left now after this contract sillyness. A change in manager might be a good thing, we shall wait n see.

"Lost the fans". Have I missed something? A few people on internet forums/radio phone ins are wound up because we lost a couple of games and that's it, the relationship with the fans has broken down.

This has been going on for the past 10 years. IF he stays (and I highly doubt he will) he'll be accepted with open arms providing the results remain alright.

alrght results is only acceptable to the fans of an also ran team - if that is what Everton has become then say so and let that be our be all and end all - eternal bridesmaids - shame

Online forums do not (necessarily) equal match going fans. See ::clap clap clap::.

Also the old "people with complaints are 10 times more likely to comment than people with no complaints" factor skews perception.

So yes ... although I think the "damage" is over-stated for reasons stated above.

I think the mental damage to Moyes' will and engagement level* thanks to ten years of fighting to keep the team competitive near the CL end of the table on a low net-spend (sorry to use the GoT "n word") is far more difficult to repair than the relationship with the fans.

*Speculation.

I just don't think he'll have the same drive or enthusiasm, and if a better offer comes along mid season, he'll be off. I only want someone who want's to be here.

why havn't any of them grabbed him at the first opportunity - he is inviting offers with his lack of commitment to us -
he looks more like a hitchiker without a ride at this stage -
will use the Everton bicycle only if nobody better picks him up - now who is the sucker in this story

I think hes lost the vast majority of fans and he wont be seeing them back anytime soon.

I for 1 will give him 100% support till the bitter, bitter end.

David Moyes, superstar.

He has my support 100% as well, even though I dont really like how he is dealing with his current contract coming to an end!!
