Yes he can turn it around, (I hope), would not care if he brought in Barmby and Xavier as attacking and defensive coaches.

Can he turn the fan base around, not the ones who have tribal dislike of Big Sam, they will just go quite when positive and jump on negativity as and when.

Myself, more pragmatic Evertonian, the 80s, its long time ago now, and willing to give Allardyce the benefit of doubt for now, as our only other success in my life, ironically, was Big Joe and his entertaining football ‘dogs of war.

You really could not make Everton up!

So does that mean you wouldn't have a problem if he was here next season if he turned it round?

I think the Arsenal game was the turning point for anyone on the fence.

Personally I had hoped he would come in and at least got a positive vibe going, reflected through some decent results and performances, and at the very least, posed the question that he would have done enough to see out his contract.

He hasn't come anywhere near that though and I think he is less bothered with each passing week as it becomes ever more likely that he'll be shown the door in May.

He has no chance of any redemption here now.

Going away to Bournemouth and West Brom (they hadn't won in 18 games before they played us) and parking the bus should have been the turning point for those who were on the fence with Allardyce.

Depends what you define as "turning it around". If you mean get the wins required for us to stay up then even this fraud can achieve that. If you mean we can put a run together and finish ahead of Burnley, then I would seriously doubt it now. The performances against Watford and the second half against Burnley were just as bad as anything as Koeman served up at the start of the season, we are pathetic with and without the ball and Allardyce has not been able to fix either part of our game. Truly apocalyptic manager.

As for the fans you can't win back support that you never had in the first place. This was his one chance to prove that he wasn't a relegation expert, that given the tools he could play good football and push a club up the league. He has failed miserably and I'm pretty sure this is the last job he'll ever get. Football is through with him.

Hes run out of games and burned too many bridges. Theres only another 8 or so games left and even if those go really well, hes had far too many games to ruin any good will.

Maybe if he hadnt opened his big mouth so much to offend everyone, but he has, so even wins now wont save him.

Thrashing the RS in the derby probably would earn him some good will, zero chance of that though.

Certainly on here there is almost universal consensus that he is not suitable for Everton FC. However some comments are unnecessary, not just the ones about his physical appearance but the frankly stupid remarks that he does not care. He cares alright, because he has a pride in how he thinks he is perceived, as everyone does, and does not want this possibly last job to end in ignominy. Only a fool would suggest anyone enjoys being publicly vilified. Having said all that, the sooner he is gone the better.

I hope not, 1 point above the relegation zone will do me, otherwise they may give him another season. Utter shambles!

Most of the people loudly hating on BFS was hating on him before he ever signed. Thats all you need to know.

Turns out with just cause, the way we're playing, Allardyce blaming everyone else for a defeat bar himself, some of the crap he is coming out with interviews, smirking in front of fans as he was walking off, laughing when he was asked in his post match interview about the fans questioning the substitution of Sigurdsson, etc, etc.

I think " hating " is too strong a word really.

Many didn`t want him here from day, as they " didn`t like him " for all the reasons gone before.

However I think it`s fair to say, that the " dislike " of him has now become much more intense, due to what`s gone on since he`s been here.

He gives the impression that he`s almost saying to the fans - " bring it on ".

If we lose against Brighton, I think you may things turn properly nasty.

He had to do all the things he said he was going to do with the team, when he first came in to get the fans on board and to get away from his dinosaur hoofball tag.

He hasn`t done a single thing that he said he was going to do, so there really is no way back for him.
