They should announce the decision one way or the other on the day after the end of the season.

But I can't see him winning over the fans. The expectations are (rightly or wrongly) very high for both results and style of football. Results have improved marginally but the style has not really progressed since he arrived. Every game feels like a bit of a lottery. When we've won comfortably (e.g. Brighton) it's still not been great to watch. That has cemented the impression of him that fans had pre-appointment. If he stayed next season, the slightest disappointments will be jumped on. It'll be like a cloud hanging over us all season.

For that reason alone I would think the club realise they need to find a figurehead that everyone can get behind and give a chance to.
 
Underrated? Na - he’s good at just good at keeping clubs up that’s it. After the west ham game we will say thankyou Sam... but laters

Don't be so sure, a lot depends on what happens between now & the end of the season...

Allardyce will be judged on results...

If he wins the next 2 games big Sam could well be here next season,

will we win the next 2 games ? unlikely.
