Not the man to bring the club forward and hopefully we will be able to bring in a top manager in the summer. However he has done a very good job at keeping us up.

We were in a really bad place form and point wise. We could easily be right in the mix for the drop but big sams home form has saved us. I wanted him in in november above the other choices. I felt we were in that bad a situation. It was going close to the scenes at west ham yesterday and that was months ago. But he got points at the start and wins v cp and brighton has saved us. So fair play to him.

But manager for the long term future? not for me
Big Sam Home form???? Our home form for the last 2 years has been fantastic. We very rarely lose at home.

His essentially in the same boat as Wenger, the fans haven't gone as far as not turning up to the game but he is as good as gone.

The only way he will be able to stay is if come derby game he walks on the pitch and knocks one of their players out. If that happens he immediately gets elevated to cult status and gets to see out his last year.

He's stopped going training and spends his time on forum's like ours , because it's obvious the fans are picking the team right now.

Not sure about that, Allardyce is vastly experienced & has his own mind...

Bolasie would not have been my choice to start after recent performances....

9th on 37 points.
Every team from 10th down to 20th dropped points or got beat this weekend.(bar Newcastle)
I feel it should just put us safe , thats 10 points above the drop zone with 8 to play.
We all know the club wont jetison this cowboy till the season ends now.
Personally I'd sack him right now , but he'll be kept on while they sort out / tap up next seasons manager.
And boy they best get this one right.
God I wish this season would end.

with Gana out, he only had 1 position to fill. davey klassen back on the bench? schneiderlin frozen out. Everything the fans have been clamering for but he has been resisting, any way glad he has made the switch ,we look an outfit at last.

He shouldn’t stay on. I was fine with his appointment and in the minority, and we will stay up.

But he hasn’t really shown anything, in terms of thinking or approach, to suggest much would change with him next year.

I certainly wasn’t expecting miracles, but apart from the decent run at the beginning, nothing has changed. Dreadful away form, poor defensively, and some heavy defeats. All Koeman-like before he left. You would want at least some pointers in the right direction for a man who knew he would fall under more scrutiny than most.

I think the players also realise it’s a short-term appointment. I don’t have any issue with Sam other than poor performances and lack of results, the same criteria by which I’ll judge any Everton manager. If both were better, I wouldn’t have been against another year simply because it is Sam Allardyce.

But it isn’t working out, and he is deeply unpopular whilst doing nothing to alter that perception of himself which in turn somewhat sullies the clubs reputation and makes us look a footballing backwater. He just has not been savvy enough to read the signs, or if he has, has chosen to wilfully ignore them. I suspect the latter so in that sense, he has made his own bed rather than grasping a huge opportunity.

On the proviso that we can secure a better fit, both in footballing and general approach terms, then it’s a no-brainer to replace him.
