Everton have had brushes with relegation in the past. When Koeman left it was apparently time for thr Championship. Likewise with Martinez.

The table is so tight a couple of wins puts you in the top half. The absolute knee-jerk reactions are totally unnecessary.

What made things OK in the past was that there were worse teams in the league than us. I remember looking at teams below us and feeling that we could beat a few of them and that would be enough to keep us up. Today I don't see teams who are worse than us that haven't already beaten us.
I have an awful feeling of foreboding particularly if Silva turns up for work tomorrow.
