Cahill should be rested

If he is fit, he plays, if not then hes out.

Personally i think he has been outstanding in recent weeks, best header of ball in the league, if not the world!

Surely it's all about prioritising? I think you underestimate the work Cahill has put in during the past few weeks of leading the line. The injury he picked up against Arsenal looked to be a tiring player not getting his shot away in time and getting caught in the process. He's been buffeted this way and that in one massive game after another. You can bet your bottom dollar that if Moyes had had a full compliment of forwards tro choose from there's no way he'd have used one of them all the time in the past 5-6 weeks. Cahill is willing, but he's clearly goosed. Let him sit this one out and have him rested for the biggest game we have left this season.

if our best players are fit enough then they should be played against utd.

but if fellaini and cahill are out , (gutted) god knows what team we are gonna put out.

anichebe on the wing , kenwright and the tea lady up front ?

I hate this attitude of people thinking that man u are going to do us over. I honestly believe that we have a chance to take some points 2mrw. I wish people would stop wanting us to roll over and take a loss. If Cahill is fit he should play, he's a professional and we can't encase him in a bubble.

Couldn't agree more and also made that point in an earlier thread.(y)
It's simple really. If Tiny Tim is fit, than play him. If he isn't, rest him.

I agree with the squad being small we need to take one game at a time and play full strength. With that being said I'm afraid I been hearing that both Cahill and Felliani are doubtful for the United game. This will put added pressure on Anichebe to perform.

Makes me laugh all this Cahill is tired lets rest him bollocks . So if that theory holds true why dont we rest the rest of the team who are probably equally as knackered . Your telling me Jags isnt feeling the pace ? Or Pienaar isnt carry a few knocks ? Of course they are .....THEY ALL ARE .

Manchester United is a FAR BIGGER GAME than Liverpool . FACT
We need maximum points for EUROPE

I agree woolyback lid, to a degree, i can ACCEPT defeat to ManUtd allstars at Old Trafford. I can not and will not accept defeat to RS nomarks at the home of the Gods.

But its all pie in the sky, Timmy wont be fit, so its not a case of resting him. Hes got bruising on a foot, feet he has broken numerous times. Its a no brainer really. Its like when Moyes took the big man off at HT against Hull, oh wait...............................

I know I am a mere Wool but to be honest I am kind of proud of the fact (y)

I will be devasted if we go to OT and perform like we really dont want to be there . I will consider it an affront the Royal Blue Jersey . I understand that many many Blues have their hearts and minds set for Weds night and the visit of the RS but for me THE LEAGUE is far more important than a Cup run regardless of how much fun that can be :D

God forbid we get beaten by Liverpool on Weds but THIS IS EVERTON we are talking about here . Imagine the desolation for the rest of the season being 13 points off fourth spot ? Makes me feel like slitting my wrists

We have it in our team to catch Villa . THE GAME TOMORROW is massive perhaps THE BIGGEST game of the season . If we lose this we are as good as ****ed . I cannot believe follow Evertonians attitude towards it . GUTTED

We are playing 1 of, if not the best team in the world, with no strikers and possibly our recent best player missing. I want us to win and i will be cheering and jumping round my front room and i will be upset if we lose and dancing in the street if we get a draw or a win.

I am going tomorrow ........I am in their end with my bird who unfortunately is a Man Utd fan I say fan as thats all she is :@ Her brother is a season ticket holder with his missus but hes ****ed off to the Middle East for work . I never turn down a freebie mainly becasue I am tight as **** well only cause I am tight as **** (y)

Rest assured though if we actually get near the goal long enough for a shot to breach those c***s goalline I WILL GO F*****G MENTAL :D

Doesn't matter what team we are playing, if they aren't fit for a game at this stage of the season then leave them out.

Sucks they are injured but no point risking them if it means losing them for more games.

We'll do our usual roll over tomorrow, i'm pretty sure of it now.

We won't finish higher then 6th. We should get these games out the way and concentrate on getting further away from the likes of Wigan and City etc.
