Cahill should be rested

I'd be amazed if Moyes was to make the decision to play him. He has scarce resources and he must recognise this game has three points for United written all over it - regardless of Cahill's presence.

Frankly I am disgusted in you Dave . Why should this game have three points written all over it :@

If thats the way we see it we should just phone up Man Utd and tell them we are not coming as we cannot really see the point . I would rather beat Man Utd than beat Liverpool . Am I the only one who hasnt given up on catching Villa ? Its only 10 points and there are 15 games left ! FFS .

Finishing fourth should be like our holy ******* grail if that means playing Cahill against Utd for at the very least a draw with a view to leaving him on the bench for the RS then so be it .

Beating Liverpool would be very very sweet but NOT AT THE EXPENSE of our league position .

I hate this attitude of people thinking that man u are going to do us over. I honestly believe that we have a chance to take some points 2mrw. I wish people would stop wanting us to roll over and take a loss. If Cahill is fit he should play, he's a professional and we can't encase him in a bubble.

Well said girl (y)

Really winds me up when I hear fellow Evertonians condoning us getting beaten before anyone has kicked a ball in anger . Absolutely fuming here :@

i agree with resting him if he's carrying a knock from the arsenal game, but i also agree that we should fear nobody, our form was kickstarted against ushited and i dont myself think that they will walk over us.

I think we will score,as for Tim Iroegbunam would sooner he played against the [Poor language removed] than united if there is a doubt about him being fit for both.

I hate Man Utd . I know that might sound abit like a modern day premier league thing to say but it doesnt come from that . It comes from going there in the eighties and having to run the gauntlet of tooled up mancs looking to severely **** you up . Horrible b*****ds they are .

Remember them days well.I got jumped in the station toilets:@lucky for me this big guy came in and sorted them:lol:

Remember one year myself getting off at Oxford Rd and coming out to be met by a massive mob of the horrible goons . I know we were just as bad in the eighties and our own hooligans made me cringe just as much but I THANK GOD that we had our own loonies that day because if we hadnt a good few people would have been cut by them as a few had blades . I [Poor language removed] myself

I don't agree with resting players in matches like this.

Always field your strongest side, imo.

If we field a weakened side, we have excuses and can say "that's why we lost" - if we field our strongest side and still lose, then we know that we must work harder, win more 50/50's, or whatever.

I would be very surprised if he played, why risk him? The seasons a marathon, not a sprint.

Tim Cahill has received a fitness boost after x-rays on his injured foot revealed the Australian international has not suffered a break.
Cahill hobbled off five minutes from the end of Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Arsenal after taking a knock to his right foot.
He underwent a precautionary x-ray on Thursday but the results have revealed no major damage, although severe bruising means the makeshift striker is now a major doubt for the trip to Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
