Cahill injury

[Poor language removed], after Vaughan this is unbelivable, the news coming from the club last night though was that he had been taken off as a precaution, Irvine was reported as saying that Cahill felt a lot better about his foot and that it was nothing serious, hopefully the result of the scan will prove him right.

If this is true then God does not want us playing in Europe its official we are the team of the devil in God's eyes.

Don't worry! baines will get us goals! very soon he'll step in for howard! take over the physio, and finally the job of groundsman! thats what 6 million for!

I broke my foot playing footy a couple of years ago - takes up to 9 months to get back to no pain felt, despite being able to do sport.

The bone regrows larger than previously to heal the fracture, this 'crushes' the soft tissue around the bone in certain positions, particularly if 'squashed' sideways, pressing the space between metartarsals/bones together. Over the 9 months, the bone thins out again to original shape/size.

Anyway, I'm sure Cahill's latest setback is just pain felt as a result of a hefty 'squash' from falling into the ground.

Can I have Mick Rathbone's job now?:)

maybe, but you can hand out a bollocking to the aussie squad first.

To be fair, country comes first.

He shouldn't have even been playing in this one, not from the start anyway, last 15mins or so would have been good.

Bollocks!! If I was a pro footballer I'd go into international retirement at 17 years old. England supporters are [Poor language removed] who boo's their own team after 45 minutes?

No thank you I'd stick to playing for Everton.

If they didn't play so badly and get paid so well for the trouble then they wouldn't get booed, the aussies never get booed, and there is a reason for it.

Country comes first. I am not a Liverpool fan who is English but hates England. I would prefer to see England win the World Cup because I have already experienced Everton winning trophies, and International games brings the whole country together, great atmosphere's in the pubs.

As for Cahill, maybe we should cash in on him next Summer, becoming a bit of a crock at the moment.

Can,t agree there ghost everton first everytime for me there is no competition i want england to win but nowhere near as much as i want everton to.
Don,t agree on cahill either he,s just having some bad luck

I would say 90% of football players prefer to win for their country over their club. Unless perhaps they are from the area that they play for.
