Can we sell Klassen, Vlasic, Martina, Williams, Sandro as a job lot to West Ham?

More energy in the side is basically the only improvement I see so far. That's a good thing but there are more pressing issues that I want to see Marco dealing with.

IF Klaasen needs to adjust to PL speed to use his skillz, he should be taking games like this by storm...

Same, although not as much was expected from him, for Vlasic.

Non-first team youth players understandably playing very conservative in second half, apart from Kenny (who you could argue is first-team squad). If Robinson is as good as touted, he should have been taking the left wing apart (especially against Bury youth team).

MoM (just for @davek) was surely Baines, followed by Mirallas, followed by Niasse - which I'm not sure gives me a good feeling about the progression in the squad.

Dowell - at your best, are you going to be a Duncan McKenzie or something better?

Niasse is looking hungry and had a great finish tonight. I still can't see what Sandro adds to our team though.
I'd like to see Vlasic being given a lot more chances this season.
But pre season results mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Well what to take from that game...

• Klaassen is not up to it.
• We need at least four first team signings (CB, LW, CM, LB)
• There's a player in Sandro but lacks finishing ability and physiciality
• How can you hit the post so much?

Some folk might put a comma after "finishing" in your Sandro assessment.

Not me though, think he looked pretty decent.

Klaassen was the disappointment for me. Everyone else looked a (bit) better than i expected really, Mirallas, Martina, Kenny , Besic, Niasse etc

Thought we had some nice little patches of play, was a little flat in the second half of he first half but other than that we controlled it and had a bit more movement and tempo to us.

For me the second half was far more promising than the first half with the youngsters providing a better account than some senior players...
Klassen was below the required standard, but good performances from Kenny,Niasse,Mirallas,Besic,Robinson & Connolly...
