Burnley have done their homework. They know we won’t have anyone past the far post. If you look at their goal the other Burnley player just keeps hold of our player at the back post so he can’t move back any further to clear it. Falls to their other player unmarked and it’s a goal.

I was saying just this in work yesterday. Look at Leicester and how a good squad, but not great by any stretch of the imagination, are challenging the big boys.

Instead, we are actually falling to pieces and letting clubs like Villa, Sheff United and Burnley pull our pants down.

There will be inevitable and very well deserved flak on Silva after this latest display.

This will allow the spineless clowns on the pitch - there were several - to absolve themselves of any blame. Not that they likely care.

The players just aren't good enough to threaten the top 6. Anyone who thought otherwise was deluding themselves. Good enough to put a few runs together throughout a season but nothing more than that.

People will blame the manager and probably rightly so but no one coming in will get us finishing higher than 8th.
