I do think we forget sometimes that this squad is still under construction, we are desperately lacking in certain positions and really the management have had only the one transfer window, last summer, and bought in half a dozen players.
It so lacks in certain areas which the faithful is well aware of. We're going to get results like this, but it's an improvement on recent seasons.
I Would hope and expect next season to see the side challenging and winning games like today.then Moyes would have had 2 further windows. So I can live with today, it could have been worse.
It could have been worse yes. But I was furious with a draw, God knows how I'd felt if we'd ha
ve got beat. It's not like we were playing arsenal or man City. It was Burnley and they're crap.

Why don't our strikers understand the basic concept of how to be a centre forward. You do everything possible to get yourself between the centre half and the ball. Ours just stand still and allow themselves to be bullied by average centre backs. Who just get round them and get to the ball first.
I said this weeks ago
Beto is always attaching himself to their centre halfs and looks like he just wants to wrestle with them rather than making space for himself and timing his runs .
So easy to play against .

It’s just that it’s two weeks in a row of feeling meh. I want to feel excited like so many other top teams. We were playing so well against Arsenal given our depleted side….until a handball and PK. Wait all week to destroy Burnley until….an absolutely anemic and uninspired performance leaving us with a draw that we’re supposed to feel good about. Where’s the club that almost drew against Arsenal with the same depleted squad?

….it’ll always be a struggle without our 3 best players. I’d expect with KDH, Ndiaye and Grealish in that team today we’d have won. Indeed, I think KDH could’ve made a huge difference.

It’s no surprise this squad lacks the depth to compensate the loss of those 3, we’ll struggle without them.
All true but surprisingly even with them we are the 2nd lowest scorers in the division .

You'd have thought that a manager with Moyes' experience would have worked out how better to use our attacking resources.

Our goal return is criminal

….its a bit like saying we haven’t had a decent striker in years. All fairly obvious, just like struggling to create without your 3 most creative footballers.
We played 2 in midfield & a corner flag in Dwight on a wing who can't beat a man - play an extra midfielder alongside Tim & Garner & make it a 3 man midfield....

Take a point given the players we had out. Good to get minutes for Dibling. I get it’s frustrating because some will have been looking at the table and banked the three points but this is a transitional year for us and I’m just happy to be looking up rather than down.

I was just happy when broja went off so th inevitable didn't happen. We're an average side with our whole midfield missing. I didn't enjoy it but we need to wait a few windows for us to improve and we are improving.
