Bump in the road

I hope we absolutely hammer Newcastle and Watford, as much as Ive loved watching us this season, there's no doubt that we aren't very clinical. Who knows, maybe the sickener of today fires us up and we get even better from this point on. We need to starry burying the chances that we make.

We are definitely one of the best sides in the league this season, we've been to 4 away grounds of some of the best sides in the league and we held our own in every single one and were had some extremely bad luck in all 4.

In Marco we trust.

The loss is a painful one, especially in that manner, but we played really well. We're just a few months into the Silva/Brands era and we've improved massively and quickly. We need to put it behind us and focus on continuing our improvement. We all want instant success but most of us knew going into this season to expect a period of transition. That period has been better than we expected but we should keep some perspective. Another year or two, with more players of Gomes quality, and we'll be smashing the shoites.

Nah.

It’s a kick in the nuts. We played ok.

Character building. We’re already top 6, we’d all have taken that situation in August.

Absolutely I'm happy in 6th. In fact I'm just happy that we are looking like a football team. The overall position is a bonus right now.

But that was a serious body blow. It could be a good thing we play at home mid week but I'm not so sure. It's going to be a tough day in training tomorrow so it's a tough job for Silva.

I hope Goodison gets behind them because they will need the help these next two games. Especially Pickford.

Everyone could see the team tried.

There’ll be a good reception midweek I’m sure of it.

Other than their shabbite streaky piece of pi$$ of a goal, for once I'm not too down after that.

We went with them and their satanic pact toe to toe, played impressive football and looked worthy of sneaking a win at the pit. Absolutely proud of the boys for standing tall to play our way and not hiding or shirking like we've done in the past.

Lots to be encouraged by. Would have loved to have put them 2 further points behind top place, but someone else will do that soon enough.

Exactly. If somebody had offered us the being in the top 6 by December, all the new signings fully integrated and performing great but a sickening derby defeat

OR

The squad being a complete mess again, no visible style of play at all, no spirit amongst the group BUT somehow a fluke win against them, who in their right mind would take the latter? Only fruitloops.
