Really don't see how you can say he gives more in an attacking sense, there seems a common misconception that Galloway doesn't get forward for some reason but he's often on the over lap when we break and several times he's been n good scoring positions. I can only assume people ignore it because they've read he's a centreback and can't equate the two.

Like I said he's probably been our best player to date regardless of age, experience or position and there's no way he should be dropped. Certainly not until our best left back is back and fully fit anyway.

I say it because he hasn't really got any delivery, cross for Naismith v Chelsea aside, granted the left side of our midfield has been a problem for a while now and that won't have helped him in the opposition's half. It certainly hasn't helped him defensively with him often being exposed 2 v 1 but he's dealt with that exceptionally well.

Alright game back. Not sure about all the fuss tbh, had a poor first half, losing the ball and getting caught out of position but grew into the game and was much better as the game went on.

Wouldn't Oviedo ahead of Galloway bring some balance to the left side if bobby doesn't want to play mirallas or delboy there consistently ?

I was sat in the in the corner near him for the 1st half ! thought he did well won a lot of tackles and held up their attacks !

I'm not knocking Galloway, but I just think Oviedo offers more. He is a natural LB after all.

I see the point, and I agree that as a full-back Oviedo gives a bit more threat, but then again Galloway was probably our best attacking player against Arsenal! The lad is proving he has the attributes to be a top player and I'm happy for him to stay there for the time being, and he also gives us another option as a CB. I hope Oviedo gets to play in the majority of cup games, though. Would love the lad to sign a new contract.

I really like Oviedo and is a natural replacement for Baines in a like for like sense. In honesty if he was fully fit I'd probably start him ahead of Galloway currently, who may benefit from a loan in January to a championship club to get regular game time at either cb or lb.
