Bryan Oviedo

He was all over the place for the first twenty minutes, which was partly because he was so isolated. Once we sorted that out he settled down.

He's second choice for a reason and is decent cover from Baines.

He was the same against Palace....given the runaround for the first 20 mins, then got to grips with the game and played well. Maybe he's taking the time to get the pace of games after a long lay off.

Aye, I'm sure that's true mate.

Martinez and Koeman have both preferred Oviedo to Galloway at left back ( If Oviedo had been fit I doubt Galloway would have played as many games under Martinez ) for a reason.

He's still rusty and I'd prefer Baines to Oviedo. I'd never really seen Oviedo close up until I saw him in the car park after the Palace game, and I hadn't realised till then just how short ( for a footballer ) he is, which means he'll never be able to cut out balls over the top.

If Oviedo, Baines and Colemam were all a few inches taller we'd be much stronger defensively, but we'd likely lose a bit of craft going forward.

One of those players that you want to succeed, but either just looks solid or out of pace. This man broke his man ffs cut the slack he is out there giving it his all.

Oviedo baby me baby

I must have been watcbing a different game, given the quality of opponents and my expectations of him before the game, I thought he was terrific

Thought he played well today defensively .... worked hard and after the first 20 minutes their wingers didn't really get any crosses in.... was to far away from silva for the goal tho

If baines is out much longer teams will target him as the weak link. Think this says it all really. Like him but we need a better option

He started the counter-attack from which we scored, didn't he? Can only find videos showing Rom's finish, but I seem to remember Oviedo tidying up at the back with a nice little bit of skill before playing it out into midfield, but memory might be playing tricks?

No that's right, really clever bit of skill to start the move off

This page has got me thinking, is it one of those things where something strange is going on: I have just read 8 posts that I disagree with.
So is it a case of take a step back : Am I right and everyone else is wrong or is everyone else right and I am wrong. One of the posts
is trying to get an assist for him, another is blaming Leroy Sane for being too good, another blames the club for his broken leg, another
says he needs the first 20 minutes to get up to speed(so long as we know), and the rest of you must be related or owe him money.
I can only assume Ronald is putting him in the shop window, good idea eh?
