Bryan Oviedo

I think its all over for Oviedo, certainly at Everton. I think his comeback was poor, whether it be lack of confidence, understandably but as he repairs himself mentally and physically better players have been coming through.

If he's fit would prefer to see him given a shot at being played in the attacking left position. Reckon it would give the team a better balance. Thoughts?
Why? We wouldn't really consider playing Baines there when he comes back and he's a far better player

Oviedo's leg break unfortunately was the end for his time at Everton, I think. Lost most of his pace from what I saw, and is being consistently kept out of the team:
At left back - by a 19 year old centreback (Galloway) and a 23 year old centreback (Funes Mori)
At "Attacking left" - by a centremid (Cleverly), A defensive Mid (Besic), An attacking mid (Barkley), a striker (Kone) and a ghost (Naismith)

Well he does play winger for Costa Rica...or at least he did before the injury.

i wonder if Galloway being pretty boss at LB pushed him down the pecking order or if he wasnt that fit. His missus is but i digress. I just find it a bit off whats going on with him at the moment..

Oviedo's not really been all that fit, then Galloway being boss took him out of the picture.
Probably

to make a case for oviedo, galloway is not a left back anyway. martinez has said that this season he will play mainly as a left back, but future wise hes obviously a centre back, and will probably be a boss one at that. but i think oviedo still has a role for us, its difficult though because with garbutt and baines there a lot of competition there, if we get europe this year which i think we will, then next year he could come in handy at left back or left midfield, i'd love him to stay because he obviously likes everton a lot and loves our fans.

It's clear we haven't got space for Bry. When he played we was a very good attacking full back.

I think the best thing we can do is send him out on loan in the hope of getting a decent fee for him the end of the season..
