I've always considered Paraguay as South America's most boring side. never really bad, never any good always meh.

To be fair, while the size of California, there is only 6.5 million people or so... there are 3.5m more here in Bogota alone. They have the occasional standout player, but for the most part it's all heart less ability than the (particularly local with Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Chile nearby) competition. It's a squad of Naisy's.

Rooting for them is never easy. It's a bit like being an Everton fan. No lead is safe enough, seen them collapse at home up 2-0 against Brazil at the 75 min mark in WC qualifiers only to draw and damn near lose. Watched them win at Argentina for the first time ever in WC qualifying...only to lose to Peru at home for the first time ever in the second match of the Int'l Break. And not only losing, but being shredded. Highpoint of my time there was watching them beat Chile in Asuncion. Was electric that night.

Wanted that Where's Waldo kit so when I was going to matches I could wear it for the US, then just lean at a 90 degree angle and suddenly I was supporting the Albirroja.

Well, if The Times are to be believed, it looks like David Moyes is going to do a Roberto Martinez and step into international managerment with the USMNT.

United States Moyes National Team?

No thanks. Huge no from me. Failed at all his post-Everton gigs. The US need to start playing the young players, the next generation to see what happens next. Moyes doesn't exactly have the reputation as a guy who gives youth a chance. A quick google search of Moyes Playing Youngsters shows Sheedy's complaints about him not paying attention to EFC's youth squad, and articles from both Sunderland and West Ham of both "playing next season" or just offloading them to other clubs.

7th place trophy won't cut it in CONCACAF.

Hard pass.

Yeah I’m not sure that Moyes has the track record of working with youth needed to work in this new generation of young talent. Is much rather have Osorio, Berhalter, Vermes or Vanney.
