the next round of matches very critical. 1 v 4, 2 v 3...

If we can defend our turf and beat CR and Mexico beat Panama in Azteca, will have us tied for 2nd (barring GD) with a slightly less squeeky bum gap between us and 4th.

Expecting 7 points from the remaining four matches. We'll bottle something we should win.

Fifth & Final Round (Hexagonal)

PTS W L D GF GA GD
Mexico 14 4 1 1 9 2 +7
Costa Rica 11 3 1 2 9 4 +5
USMNT 8 2 2 2 11 8 +3
Panama 7 1 1 4 4 4 0
Honduras 5 1 3 2 6 14 -8
T and T 3 1 5 0 3 10 -7

The USA are one of six nations to advance to the final round of 2018 CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, also known as "The Hexagonal."

The goal of the Americans in the Hexagonal is to finish among the top three to clinch an automatic berth to Russia 2018. The fourth-place finisher will advance to a playoff against Asia's fifth-place finisher. The bottom two teams will be eliminated.

The USA will face a total of 10 matches in the Hexagonal, which opened Round 1 on November 11 against archrivals Mexico on US soil. The two CONCACAF giants will then square off in Mexico City in Round 6.

The qualifying process in the CONCACAF region began back in January 2015 and it has seen 29 nations eliminated along the way, leaving the final six survivors in "The Hex."

Honduras and T&T are just gash. I can't see either of them finishing 4th or higher. If the USA beats Costa Rica at home I think they are through.

Honduras are, but they play ROUGH. That's a get a point or three and more importantly no one gets injured. Pulisic has been getting targeted hard... (another reason I still do so love hockey. take a run at our star, i'll serve 5 min to knock your chicklets all over the pitch.)

i'll finally have a US kit! not super big on the stars on the shoulders ... although I can make my friends call me ADMIRAL when I wear it.

I have Scotland ('96, '98 picked up by friends visiting), Paraguay home and away, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay... if out in the next month might get it, else Colombia will be next on that last.

I like hoops but prefer red and white.

I would really like to stick to a identifiable theme

Yes. We should pick either hoops or pinstripes and be done with it. Have something unique to the international game, and something we can identify with. Get creative with the away strip if need be.
