Not exactly childhood but meat and potato pasties, ( the flat ones) from Greggs. Fruit Club biscuits, stopped selling those years ago.
We used to sell our dinner tickets for twenty pence go to Cousins the Baker and buy a hot uncut loaf, then the chip shop next door, take the middle out of the loaf and ram the chips in, absolutely gorgeous.

Goes some way to explain the diabetes epidemic.

Think Scholfields got bought out by someone else and all the stuff the wagons sold got swapped over to someone elses gear, which wasn`t as good as the Scholfields stuff.

The only cream soda that would touch Schofields, was Corona, the one that had a Polar Bear on the label.
