3 CBs isn't necessarily a waste. Especially considering our CB options are quite good and you want to start Patterson and Aznou. Patterson has always been a bit shaky defensively, and Aznou is completely untested in this league. Playing them as wingbacks allows them to get the most out of their attacking abilities without them being too exposed defensively. Another bonus is that it's a system that pretty much keeps McNeil out of the side.

With our best XI available, I wouldn't be playing 3 CBs, but against a team like Brighton, with how they play, it could help us frustrate them.
Just because of this reason I`m totally for 3 CB option (so long as Keane isn`t one of them).

Got a good record here over past few years. That 1-5 is still one of the weirdest results ever. I still to this day think De Zerbi completely had us down as a gimme and by the time he changed it the horse had bolted. What a great feeling though as we were so looking like the trap door was finally gona open.

Hopefully super Dwight can repeat his feat

Back three of O'brien, Tarks and Branners, allowing for 2 progressive wingback in Patto and Aznou would be a bold move. But we all know it'll be O'brien at right back.

To be fair you can actually do this with a back 4 and it still work well. JOB at right-back, Aznou at LB. When defending were stable back 4, when attacking JOB shifts over as 3rd CB so aznou can stay really high.

Fair point, but rarely has it worked with 3 at the back for us. With Jarrad and Jake at the back we have the pace to give the full backs the chance to get forwards which should hopefully give the wide men more freedom to attack.
