The mid-'80s. A good time for the club and supporters. Apart from a certain event...
I've got a few from '84/'85 at Goodison taken from the Bullens Road of the team with the Championship trophy. Also '86/'87 at Goodison with the title trophy. Many thanks for these pictures, nostalgia is wonderful
And a happy Sunday to you too, Super Blue. The last thing I am is a juvenile! Any juvenile sub-forum should include you because of your puerile comments.
I was a juvenile in the '62/'63 season seeing us win the title with the likes of Vernon, Young, West, Labone, Kay, Harris. Was also at Wembley in '66 seeing us lift the Cup against Sheffield Wednesday in the Everton end (the scoreboard end).
By the way, here's a photo I took at the Norwich away game on 4th May 1987. I took it a couple of seconds before the ball dropped to Pat van den Hauwe (no. 3) who scored the only goal to clinch the title for us.

Just disappear, you utter clown!
Gave it to Barry for some of his (very) improved link up play. Should have had one assist at leastYes I think most fans gave it to Beto purely for the goal, I know I did.
My best to you also. No hard feelings about our 'heated' exchange from me. Take care, stay safe. And a happy Sunday to you too, Super Blue.
Why was their second goal disallowed? Was he actually offside because I thought he wasn’t interfering with the play
Snap OB2, we're all Toffee's together. Enjoy what's left of the weekendMy best to you also. No hard feelings about our 'heated' exchange from me. Take care, stay safe.
Brentford have had a player sent off, then go and score and then lead 1-0 with 10 men! So at the moment they have jumped above us! Damn! For both of us!Snap OB2, we're all Toffee's together. Enjoy what's left of the weekend![]()
Offside rules are ruining the game.He was offside, in the same way Armstrong was v Villa. Probably a bit harsh but seems to be the rule.
Its not hard...heres our attacking master plan " give the ball to Jack, see if he can do anything"..." oh, hes injured? - give the ball to Nidye, see if he can do anything"...This, it appears that Ndiaye being our attacking threat is known by all opposition, teams are getting 2 defenders in front of him to close him down.
It is not helped by the slow rate we attack/
