Serious question - what are Viking tunes and why put them on your arm.

Do you have Vikings in your family ?
Haha! I mean RUNES.

My dads side of the family come from Norway and Ireland. Our surnames can only have been inherited from Viking past. Plus I have an absolute obsession with them and am passionate about history around that time.

Ancestors have always been important to me.

Not remotely religious anymore, but respect for your ancestors and your heritage is as close as I come.

Thanks - I had this picture in my mind of a load of gibberish on your arm, that could only be read by Danish people !

Haha. It will be gibberish to most people. But I know what it says and that's the most important thing. I get tattoos for myself, not for others. I've designed everything I've got by hand and agreed it with the artist. That means they're completely unique and significant to me. I've never just get a generic design.

These runes have a doubly significant meaning. They come from a poem written to honour a tree that is part of my family name. And they basically translate as...

Deep roots will endure all storms.

Quite significant to me based on recent events.

Your last name is tied to Yggdrasil?

Cool.

Didn't know toffee originated with the Vikings.

Well, that was fun!

Got onto him at just before 8pm

Stupid arl bstard had phoned me to ask how to turn up the volume on the ringtone - he had it on silent and no vibrate. Said he couldn't hear me when he'd phoned, so his face must've hit the mute button.

26 missed calls later....And not once did he bother to check or ring me back. Got a stern ticking off. Honestly, teaching him how to use a mobile phone is like teaching a dog chinese algebra

Every feckin time he's asking me what to do. Think it's about time he went back to his old phone. At least he knew the basics of that one. Fewmin' ffs.

Anyways, thanks for the concern, lads! ;)
Great news mate , err did he say how the Lisbon went?

Helia Ebrahimi in a provocatively buttoned blouse on CH4 news right now....Grrrroooowwwwwllllllll
