I can't describe how delighted I am for fellaini by the way, just reading some comments from Klinsmann etc on his performance, great to see him getting credit. I don't think I've ever seen such an amount of negative nonsense written about such a good footballer in all my life, it's no coincidence every manager he plays for loves him

The vaults at Red Cafe must be full of absolute gold.

Neymar must be the most overrated player ever.

Hazard is way better.

Comes to that, so is De Bruyne IMO.

The boy has talent. You can see it when he's not fannying about and diving in the box. Unfortunately he does that all too often to the point where he has no credibility.

But there is now way he could have put on that bit of hold up play show that Hazard did after Rom was subbed. Showed so much of a total package today did Eden.

Yeah right.

It wasn’t like Brazil were always going to be waiting in the quarter final or owt......Belgium had an easy path to the semi final

They proved yesterday that they're better than Brazil so I stand by that assertion.

Belgium along with Spain have a squad that in my opinion is vastly superior to all other teams in the tournament. Which teams have ability in their side that is comparable to such a scale? France are the only other one I can think of.

Brazil's star man was pathetic yesterday, and overshadowed by Hazard, de Bruyne and Lukaku.

Germany have a good side on paper but doesn't have the all round quality that Belgium has and they had a poor World Cup.

England have Kane, Portugal have Ronaldo and Argentina have Messi. If the latter 2 were any good they'd have cruised through to the Semi Finals considering they have the 2 best players in the world in their side but their teams aren't good enough.

Martinez has a World Class side to work with so it's not much of a surprise that they're in the Semi Finals. Martinez doesn't have to worry much about the defending in this team as he's inherited a back 5 that contains Courtouis, Verthongen, Alderweireld and Kompany. We saw how well he can manage when the defence is in place in his first season at Everton. And he has unbelievable attacking players which suit his managerial style.

@davek I didn't think he had the flex to make the tactical changes but he did and reaps the rewards and deserves the credit, would like to see them win as they have players I like especially fella, and I'm on record as backing them with money
Funnily enough I cant stand the Belgian team...the characters like De Bruyne and Hazard and Vertonghen...even Lukaku is a divvy. Obvioulsy it'd be good to see a former Everton manager lift the WC, but I cant see it. France are THE class team in the tournament and will beat everyone left in it.

A lot of talk about how Belgium got it right yesterday and yes from the standpoint of they won the game then sure. But in reality despite opening the game up for counter attacks they created no good chances and outside of a lucky own goal and a screamer. Otherwise they didn't score. On the other end they conceded many chances and were constantly under pressure.

The only thing Belgium "got right" was they put the ball in the net more. Which is great but also tough to keep doing. Lucky for them France did the exact same thing

They sure did.....but to suggest that they would have been expected to reach the semi final as a bare minimum when Brazil was always going to be the likely quarter final opponent is quite wrong.

Martinez is a supreme tactician. He used Lukaku wide right, as he did for Everton against Arsenal a few years ago. Give him players who can understand and play the way he wants and he will be successful. Lukaku will revert to a central position against France, and will score. Martinez problem at Everton was that the players either didn't understand the tactics, or couldn't be arsed listening to him. Martinez will get top jobs in football as long as he wants them.
