I've thought that Defoe was a right little knob end at times, probably a load of unconscious bias on my behalf that he represented the usual 'overpaid football millionaire' rude bwoi stuff. Innit.

However, fair play to him for jus being there to support the little guy. Fantastic to see.

Akin to when we all gave Di Canio a rousing, respectful ovation after that incident at the Park End yonks ago, it'd be nice to see us do the same next time Defoe trots out at Goodison. His heart seems to have been captured by the same little star as ours has.

There was talk of JD leaving Sunderland at one stage & I wonder if the little man had an inadvertent influence on proceedings.

Was thinking the same yesterday. So glad he never went anywhere. I'm sure young Bradley would've been devastated by that. He needs/deserves all the positive energy he can possible get

We've joked about Sunderland being Everton B on the pitch in recent weeks but classy moves like this reminiscent of EITC show they are just as classy as Everton A off the pitch.

Gotto say though that Defoe has gone up amazingly in my estimation, not many players would put himself out there quite as much as he has, absolutely top top class man and a role model for anyone who thinks that it's just a job. Is far more than that and one look at the lad with him shows that clearer than a thousand words.

Bradley is still doing well, he has now finished with all the chemo and antibody for this round and we are hoping to be home tomorrow. He will be getting scans in a few weeks so we will know more then if it is working. Bradley has got some new glasses and he picked these ones because he thinks he looks like peter Parker, this pillow was off the Sunderland players he got some lovely presents.

It is just lovely isnt it? Every parent has had that with an infant just falling asleep during a cuddle, and it is such an emotion filled snap with Bradley and Defoe.
