haha i am mate, can you think of a tougher pro debut ever made, of the the top of my head I cant, their talking world titles in 5 fights

Definitely hoping to be fast tracked, there have been hopes to do the same with Zou Shimming yet his opening two fights have been 4 and 6 rounders against not very experienced fighters, while here you have Lomachenko going straight into a 10 rounder against someone with nearly 30 fights behind him, if anything, given their ages you'd have thought Shimming would have been fast tracked even more.

It shows guts and confidence, but its also risky, nearly looking forward more to how he gets on than the JMM Bradley fight.

Is this fella really that good lads???

All seems a bit crazy.

If he adapts to the pro's were looking at a future all time great imo, I've been wrong before of course, but this guy is special, he fought in the world series which is more pro than amateur, incidently he fought against Liverpool's Sam Maxwell in that, he beat him of course but Maxwell did better than most and could be a name to look out for

Guess we will get some indication tonight, its not like he can go back to fighting 4 rounders after this either, this is the path they've gone for, I know Rigondeux fought the number one donaire after about 12 fights, but even he eased himself in a little bit, I love Rigondeux but I'd say Lomachenko will be far more exciting

Let us know how he gets on please.

all over mate, knocked out a very decent pro pressure fighter in the 4th, had him down in the first as well with a nice short right, sensational finish, he picks his punches so well. Had to fight on the back foot a bit, but his movement is ridiculous. They are still rushing him like, but he's is insanely talented

he hasnt mate, assume your talking about the world boxing series

Anibal Miramontes said the fights are without question pro matches. He said for the fights that were held in the U.S., they were under the supervision of the relevant state athletic commission and were monitored by the Association of Boxing Commissions."The question about this is not whether these are pro fights, but why they wouldn't be considered pro fights," Miramontes said. "The fights are paid. There are no headgear. There are three judges and a referee. From 154 [pounds] and up, they wear 10-ounce gloves. From 154 and down, it's eight-ounce gloves. How is that not a professional fight? Without question, it is a pro fight.

"I understand what Arum is doing. This is all about p.r. It looks better to say he's making his pro debut, because then he could be fighting for the title in his second or third pro fight. I have a good relationship with Arum and with Top Rank and if it were me, I would be doing the same thing as he's doing. But my job is to keep fair and accurate records and to do that, I have to count those fights because they are professional fights."

One mans opinion, these are not pro fights, because they are not against pro fighters, he was fighting other amateurs, theres a world of difference, just watch the fights for the evidence. The WBS was devised to bridge the gap between the amateurs and pro's and a very good idea it was, but they dont have pro licenses and are only 5 rounds. The elite olympians all get paid under the form of sponsership, so that is a nonsense argument, as that means the olympics are pro's, and not so long ago the amteurs didnt wear headguards, but there was still a word of difference between the two diciplines then as well. Basically he's wrong

Getting paid through sponsorship is very different to getting paid for a victory though. The latter makes it a professional fight by definition. They wouldn't have put him in a ten round match if it was really his first pro fight.

Sam Maxwell, Fred Evans and Andrew Selby also fought in the WBS, I guarentee you they wont be starting with a 10 rounder, and getting paid for a fight is not the definition of a pro ranked fighter. If you have a white collar fight you can get paid for it, that doesnt make you a pro
