Boxing

I'm convinced that, in the entire history of boxing, there has never been a harder hitting middleweight than Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin. His power is awe-inspiring. Our man Brook should be proud of his performance, though. Before last night, I had never seen Golovkin lose more than two rounds, nor had I ever seen his legs buckle. Two great warriors.

lets be fair here, im a huge brook fan, and in the end he got beat tonight, which i will conceede, but fair play he showed he has heart and class. im going to suggest, if that injury hadnt of occured then brook would of testing GGG like no one else. im not here saying brook would of won, but youve got to admit he was game.

fair play kell. you took on the best and gave it your all, and faired better than most middleweights would.

is it right canelo alvarez vacated his belt rather than face golovkin??

and for anyone saying khan v brook has to happen, then yes it does, and brook steam rollers him, easily.

Hit him with the lot and he didn't budge. No way he could win

I thought it was very close and a cracking fight, just a shame it didn't go longer. What is annoying me though is people praising Brook's training for throwing towel in. He was probably right to when he did it but he was happy to let him carry on fighting in the third and fourth when he knew he had broken his eye socket and was struggling to see. Can't have been that bothered about his wellbeing.

It was probably a case of them being willing to let him carry on as long as he looked in the fight and capable of defending himself. Once GGG started swarming him then the towel was straight out - it just took the ref a while to clock it.

Is there any chance of GGG moving up? He doesn't appear to have the frame for it, a born middleweight, but it's hard to know who can accommodate an embiggening, and who can't.
Just seems like an unfortunate middleweight era for GGG to be fighting in.

i think frotch should of taken him on at super middle after he KO'd groves.

the added power from frotch, plus his great chin , and the fact GGG would be the one going up would of made that a mouth watering fight

frampton too.
Ya i think framptons win over santa cruz has put him into the big league.was really impressed with him that night.cracking fight it was.rematch or loma to come back down mmmmmmmm tasty;)couple of great match ups at super bantam up to super feather weight.really like the look of gary russell junior to and is anyone going to take on rigo.starting to become the ggg of the lower weights.
