Fabulous day and the one time Moyes being Fergies adopted son helped (Rooney supposedly injured and other odd selections)

BTW you don't get feelings like these for finishing 4th, imagine actually winning the thing - gotta be trophies before 4th.

Bollox mate, Moyes deserved absolutely nothing, he got all he deserves right now at united and long may he enjoy those glory nights in athens at a 'big club' the ginger tit

The fans and some of the players did deserve something though, most noticably cahill
Why did you put 'big club'?

nearly cried when jags slotted the pen, NEA. like watching the pen shootout from time to time.

that's how depressing we've been in my 18 years of following us

That little kid after the 2nd goal.

Also; sure Reidys banners makes an appearance?

I was in the Man U end for this game. Got a freebie, and went with a Man U supporting friend as his bro was/is high up in the scouting system in Man U. His bro is also best buddies with our ex boss by the way, and a huge Evertonian.

Went with my jersey, was told by the stewards to cover it up which was bloody hard in the scorching sun but by the time extra-time came I couldn't hold it in anymore and was standing and shouting and generally going nuts.

My main memory is standing on my seat cheering like a lunatic immediately after Jags scored and watching thousands of mancs stream out past me..

In fairness not a single fan shouted any abuse and a few shook my hand. Great day, moved off to Canada a little bit later for a year and watched us lose the final in some random house party in a drunken haze..

Would absolutely love to see us win at Wembley this year. I'll totally forget whatever league position we end up in if I can dream of a cup win all summer.

...great post mate

Because Moyes at every opportunity he could portrayed us as plucky little everton mate to boost himself at the expense of the club, now hes at a team that he cant use that line.

Yep...there is nowhere to hide at Man U. What's the old saying?; 'be careful what you wish for....'

I will never tire of videos from that day. Can't believe I was there. Didn't stop singing from 5am when I got to Rigbys on dale street waiting for our coach. Not ashamed to say I cried when jags slotted, started hugging random strangers. I didn't sit near me mates and when we all let up outside we started a group hug and about 50 other people joined in. Still can't believe Cahill missed his pen, apart fom that all our pens were brilliant that day.

2012 wasn't the same, not just after the result but before it, I think everyone was too nervous to get excited because it was that lot.
