Tuesday, I've just found out, is a supermoon (pink) but here's one from tonight...

A day out at the nearest nature reserve, Brockholes (Lancashire Wetlands Trust).

Some of these pics came out OK, but some due to distances and camera shake fared a little less well...

Yeah that sedge was so well concealed it took us ages to actually find it!

You did well spotting one so early too, as they don’t normally arrive from their wintering grounds until May.

Here is a series of images where I started off further away from the spider, and then inched the lens closer until it scarpered! The 6th in that series is a crop though, just cos I can....
Plus there is a photo of the underside of a small walnut orb spider, and finally a house fly. All these taken at around 11pm...
