300mm on my 70-300mm lens. You have to really as you can’t get too close. Not unless you sit perfectly still and hope they come close to you.
They’re a lovely work of art from Mother Nature me thinks

Spider hunt - not much around yet though...

Had a look on the fence panels again tonight but there is not much around the garden. Hand held so not quite nailed, I found three.

Possibly a Neriene montana in the first one, then I think a young walnut orb weaver in the second, and a common cross spiderling in the third among the leaves and twiggy branches of the shrubbery starting to wave her web (you can just about see the spinneret releasing the web).

No I haven’t. I did listen out for it but no, never heard.
Below is called a laughing dove because apparently it sounds like human laughter, never heard them either to be honest.
