Read a bunch of them during the summer, pretty much one after the other - everyone's tastes are different, but to me:

Soccernomics' I expected to love - I like books like Freakonomics, Moneyball, Daniel Kahneman. I thought it was very poor though and for some reason I remember thinking this is a book by RS.

I found Das Reboot underwhelming too. I didn't get a real insight as to why the Germans are good. It was more of a descriptive story of the decade or so up to their WC win, but not really a dramatic story.

'The Mixer' and 'Inverting the Pyramid' I really enjoyed - I like writing that tries to look at tactics and the like. One of them (The Mixer, I think) had a very positive chapter about Big Sam and how progressive he was (is?).

Ruud Gullit should be prosecuted under the Trade Descriptions Act for 'How to watch Football' - its just a bit of a mush about his career.

Its a few years old now, but I really enjoyed Kevin Kilbane's book if you haven't read it.

Can thoroughly Dynamo: Depending the Honour of Kiev by Andy Dougan.

An incredible story of the Dynamo Kiev club through the years of WW2.

I have a boatload of football books, the ones I keep going back to are these.....

The Special One: The Dark Side of Jose Mourinho - Diego Torres

Enjoyed that - one sided hatchet job, but probably right. Told Man U fans I know that their club was in danger when he and Jorge Mendes got their mitts on the money (never mind the Glazers). Throw Mino Raiola into the mix...
