Booing

Many people who work in normal public facing roles get abuse on a much more regular basis with pretty much zero protection from the very real threat of violence all for very little reward. For a professional footballer to somehow believe that they have it worse shows an unbelievable disassociation from reality.

My missus is a nurse and I can guarantee she gets more abuse, threats and deals with more violent behaviour towards herself in 6 months than the average footballer gets over their entire career. And if she lets it affect her professional conduct or performance then there's disciplinary action and even possible criminal charges to look forward to.

Booing. Boo-hoo.
My wife is also a nurse and it’s a totally different thing.
I’m talking about 20,000 people calling you sh1t or whatever. To think it does not effect your game is just daft.

I'm not against booing, but I don't go along with the they're getting paid x amounts as justification. They're playing against players who are on the same money, so that cancels that argument out.

Plus we know their wage before we go, so if you really are bothered, don't go.

We want our team to win, to do their best. Players doing their best does not always mean running about like a maniac losing your position then being knackered and out of position when it counts.

if you think thinking booing can help them perform better, there may be an argument there. Brian Clough said that some players need an arm round the shoulder and some need a kick up the backside. Are we dishing the support or boos out to the right players though?

If they're rubbish, Boo 'em.

We need Moshiri to stand up in the directors box at the end of the game like a Roman emperor and show a thumb down, at which point 6 lions are released from the tunnel, all the women in the crowd rip off their tops and.....wait hold on, I'm thinking of Spartacus.....

Dammit!
