Their new owners have done a Glazers on them by all accounts. Valued at £200m, used £30m of their own cash, and £170m of clubs own money/loans for the balance.

What could go wrong.
But hey, they have passed the fit-and-proper PL test. Must be OK then...

As a Barrow fan I can confirm this (apart from it was 48 years to be pedantic), should have stayed but thought he was bigger and went to the bright lights of Bolton.

We have struggled this season but that is mainly due to poor recruitment and the uninspiring David Dunn as manager. If he had stayed then there would have been a solid foundation to be built upon, good owners, no transfer embargo, etc. They are in a right mess and only sit a couple of places above us.
The bright lights of Bolton lol. That's made me laugh. Reckon cash played a part. Bolton think they are a big noise and expect Evatt to get them rising the division in no time. Won't happen. Yeah sorry bout sending you Dunn. Had a go with the Tangerines but wasn't much cop. Took a gamble on Critchley and it is going well at the moment. Best of luck with your new boss at Barrow.

I remember freezing my bollocks off in the terraces at their old Burnden park in the FA cup in 94 I think.

We drew and then they somehow beat us in the replay, despite us being 2 nil up. Hated them even since so it's nice to see them down there tbh

Mike Walkers first game.

Stuart Barlow was tremendous that night, got injured just before half time and everything began to fall apart. I remember that game really well as I think its the only time that I ever ever say at the front of the Gwladys Street.

Just had another look, they must have gone on a good run since I created this thread, up to 4th 4 points behind the leaders with a game in hand, go on Bolton.
