Right then,

2 wins, a loss and a draw so far. Not a bad start, in fact a very good one, lets continue this good start with a tonking of big sam less Bolton.

I can see goals for yakubu and johnson in this one, COYB!

-----------Howard

-Neville - Yobo - Lescott - Baines

Arteta - Jagielka - Carsley - Osman

-------Yakubu - Johnson

----

If moyes does manage to sign that ever so elusive creative midfielder to go along side Jags then I think we have a team we can confidently say is going to challenge for top four.

I'm expecting a win, I want a tonking, Bring it on! :D

it is a great start but we need to win to stop it becoming an average start and 3 games without a win.

i think macca will start with yakubu up front.

-----------Howard

-Hibbert - Yobo - Lescott - Baines

Arteta - Jagielka - Neville - Osman

-------Yakubu - macca

coyb!

Great we get Bolton just when they finally get settled. I think we should win it though 2-1.

I have a feeling that Yakubu isn't going to start. He hasn't played in a Prem match yet this year has he? My guess is that he comes in the 65-70th minute.

Dropping AJ? you must be insane, he is the one who pushes oppositions defences back, fads is better from the bench, always has been.

We have spent nearly 20m on AJ and Yak, lets give them the chance to build a partnership.

aj looks short of fitness and confidence. macca has been playing well this season. could have easily scored at reading and got a crisp finish v b'burn.

i hope macca and the yak hit it off. don't get me wrong. i like aj, but he has been poor recently and macca deserves to start ahead of him.

and being dropped helps how?

Hes had 12 shots already, I think he's due, and the YAK maybe the partner he's been looking for. I dont think he's short of fitness, or been relativeley poor. I think he's worked hard in the channels as usual but hasnt had that one bit of luck he can get by constantley harrassing the defence.

Nah I didnt think that. Fads has to step up and make a name for himself soon. He's at least started chipping in but everyone who watches us play always comments about Johnson and how hard he works. No way you can drop him, especially against Bolton.

I personally think goals are the least thing AJ brings to our team, before he came we couldn't get out of our own half because teams knew we were toothless going forward.

Now we have a real threat and they can't totally commit in fear of being counter attacked.

Fads needs to continue to play bit part roles and called upon as and when needed in the same mould as solskjaer did at manure.

Then again, on the flip side if moyes feels that yakubu could do with easing into the side as he has done with baines and jagielka then so be it, start with aj and fads.

well whether he chooses aj or yakubu to start you should not drop a striker who is in good form. all will be revealed sat afternoon!

Well there is a rumour AJ is struggling for Saturday so if he is I would actually play Vic and McFadden. Knowing Moyes- Yakubu will not start on saturday.

If by some mircale AJ is fit and the Yak is deemed ready to play then hell yeh bring it on- Yak and AJ up front will pull Boltons defence from pillar to post. It really could be a prolific pairing- one is full of running and stretches the play. The other is strong and can hold the ball up. But importantly both can find the back of the net!

AJ needs one in his next game to kick start his season- 4 games without a goal for him isnt a great return.

I expect a tight game, if the Yak starts I would expect a 2-1 win with Osman and Anichebe getting the goals.(Anichebe comes of the bench to replace Macca.)

Played well for his sub appearance at Reading. Thought he was crap against B'burn. He may have scored (which I know is what he is payed to do) but law of averages says AJ is going to accidentally score soon. Plus with his speed, hopefully combined with Yak, should be an interesting thing to watch against a transitional, disorganized Bolton side.
