Don't agree about Gomes ,have you any idea how he must be mentally after that leg break or are just too stupid to know the effect it can have ?
Do you want him flyimg in for tackles ?

Gomes and his intermittent "interest" in games goes back to way before his injury.

By being a coward.... I'm not referring to his ability to tackle. I think it quite clear what I was referring to - that he and Gylfi have absolutely no courage to take responsibility for play .... They don't use the ability that they have to benefit the side.

What does iwobi and bernard offer if not scoring. They very rarely look like scoring either. Delph gomes and even davis have some excuse as more deep sitting players.

I've posted this in other threads but I'd possibly consider putting Godfrey into midfield which would allow Doucoure to push forward more. That way at least we'd have 3 midfielders who are mobile and will put a shift in.

We can’t risk that, he’s already struggled in a more natural position. We can’t be asking him to play in a completely new pisition.

He's played there before I think. That was the talk when we signed him anyway

The lad has only just signed, he’s young, is a CB by trade and had a shocker the other week at RB yet you want to put him in centre mid despite admitting that you’ve never seeing him play a game there (or probably ever before he signed for us).

Gomes was dreadful before the injury.

Really gets on my nerves how people blame his poor form on it. I don’t know whether people just genuinely don’t remember, are looking back at his performances through rose tinted glasses or are just apologists (for whatever weird reason) for him.

He’s been an all round disappointment since signing permanently.

The lads earlier words get it spot on. You need midfielders who put a shift in. Preferably all of them.
