He's done very, very well taking Arsenal to where they are now comparing the state where he found them. Should have picked up more trophies along the way yes, but the only reason he hasn't won a title yet is because he's competing against City who basically have been allowed to write their own rules.

I think he's probably going to manage another super club after Arsenal, could easily seeing him heading off to the likes of Juventus or Inter. Doubt he'll have any desire to manage anywhere where the aim won't be to win leagues. Cracking player but is meant to be insufferable as a personality. Don't feel any affinity towards him tbh.

Can't see Italy being a temptation..
Backwards step in his mind..

Spain, yes. but would Barcelona/Madrid acccept his style.

Maybe then we'd find out where his money went...

Arteta:

“I want to congratulate everybody at Everton. Everybody has contributed to building this amazing stadium because it was incredible to witness the atmosphere. As an ex-player and someone who supports this club, congratulations to all of them.”

I thought at the time this was a kind of 'keeping his options open' statement.

IF we have the players to fit his style then we could do worse. Should he leave Arsenal then it's likely because he never made that step up to a repeat trophy winning manager, that would make him like Moyes, just with prettier football.

His recent improvements in set pieces least show he gets the grock side of the game too though, looks for small margins, enough to make it a yes for me, if we have no serial winners available to us of course.
