Swap for Donovan! His pace is far superior already after a while out and a few days training! Sorry Bily but i can't see you getting a game unless there's an injury, while Don's here

I see the same sadly. But he has his fans and that's just fine. But settle some of these injuries and I only see him as a sub coming on late. I've been wrong before but after his introduction today he was a non-event.

exactly, i hope i'm wrong but i can see this being 10m poorly spent

Think he's been a waste of money and will be made more obvious when Arteta is back and with Donovan in the team. What we needed was a speedy winger. I think this will be made obvious in terms of what Donovan will offer us. Shortly before we bought Bilyaletdinov, Zenit aquired Bystrov from Spartak for a similar fee. Bystrov is the speedy winger we should have been after.

Bilyaletdinov doesn't really provide anything that we didn't already have in Pienaar, Arteta, and Osman.

Fellaini was given well over a year to prove himself, think some of you need to give Billy the same grace, im not glossing over it, hes been poor so far, shown bits and bobs of talent, but he does look lost out there at times.

But as I say, judge him next Season.

It's nothing to do with his form, it's really that he's not the pacy winger that our team has always lacked during the Moyes era. Pace it not something you can really gain, that's not going to change. What I'm saying is that even if he turns out to be boss we already have Pienaar, Arteta, and Osman with similar skills. He doesn't add too much of anything new. That said, Pienaar could be off in the summer.

Billy's gonna be a good player for us. He's done some good things already in his limited time here. It's just a matter of him continuing to put in the good work.

I think someone mentioned that as he finished the Russian season, he started with us so he really didn't get a break that many other players have had. If he's hit the wall, it's completely understandable.

But way too early to judge whether his signing was a good one (let's not forget how Yakubu, Fellaini, Jagielka, & Baines started with us ....) If I had to judge it based on his body of work here so far, I'd say yes as his good has outweighed any poor performances. Let's see how Moyes uses him for the rest of this year and then once he has a holiday over the summer, I'm guessing he'll be good to go.

Who was the last pacy winger that Moyes bought? I think "we" as fans need to realise that Moyes doesnt do wingers.

I am not saying Bily doesn't need time to gel. But we need width to make us tick. He just can't offer that. Hayee is right while landon is alive and well and causes fear I see Bily in a reserve role for the time being.

I still would relish seeing a Coleman Donovan combo on the right it would cause most teams fits. I hope Moysey at least tries it in the cup just to tinker a bit and see what developes.

I think he is a good player, very good technically and has a great left peg. I don't think we are seeing the best of him so far for a couple of reasons.

He is tired for one he played a full Russian season before coming over here.

It is his 1st season in what is the fastest and most competetive league in the world.

He was thrown in to a depleeted side that was low on confidence and expected to pick the team up.

Lets see what he brings next season i think he is contributing this season aswell maybe not as much as he can but lets give him time to settle.

I think he will be class next season. but i am ever the optimist:)
