Bily

Yeah today was a funny one for Bily.

Made at least 4 very crap mistakes, twice failing to control a ball, once scuffing an easy cross and that "shot" which went for a throw in.

Yet Played some good passes and put some good crosses in and was finding some good positions so still had more of an positive effect on our play than some players.

Its like he goes from being an 8/10 player to a 4/10 player within 5 mins of each other, as oposed to being a 6/10 player constantly.

Its the only time I've seem him play where he's using his talent of whipping know crosses.

Just the wrong team to do it against. But that was the tactics and he did it to a tee

Every player does that to a certain extent - but he is the prime example of a 'flashes of brilliance' player who's generally awful.

I liked Bily today. Sure there were some wheels off touches and moments but at least he was launching crosses, fouling and drawing fouls. Osman???? Was he on the pitch today. Can scarcely think of him being on my 50" plasma all day. Anonymous. At least Bily was involved. We so often have slated Bily for work rate and anonymity. He was one of the few today that showed up.

I thought Bily and the left-central side looked tidy for several long stretches in the first half playing the ball on the deck and moving it with tempo. But as the game wore on, it seems that we reverted to the "50-yard launch and hope" play that is the calling card of the Moyes led team.

Basically if Baines gets injured we are up a certain creek without a certain rowing implement.

Is it bad that i almost think Baines being out for a couple of games would do us good ?

Kind of like shock treatment. Take away Baines and maybe Moyes will wake up and realise that we are ****e when he's not involved.

This, which makes me even more annoyed at the fact that he is trying to build up confidence, and he gets subbed after actually trying hard today.

People need to seriously like lose this grudge they like to hold.

Yes, he's not the best, but it's like constant hate. Most don't even see when others are bad, just him.

:(

I thought he linked up well with Baines and Osman at times but his end product wasn't there. Lots of crosses into there keepers hands. He just doesn't have a consistent enough left foot to be anything more than a decent-ish wide player.

Not to mention if Bily is in the shop window, he might just smash a screamer and raise his value. He needs more time to gain confidence to raise his value.

He fumbles his way around the pitch with the touch and pace of a cow. He is one of the worst players I've ever seen wearing royal blue.

I get people wanting it to come good for him as, well, he's an Everton player and a seemingly nice lid. But that nice lid gets paid handsomely for producing not very much for our club.

He needs selling sharpish for as much as we can get which wont be a lot.

Feelin' it today, eh...can't blame you, it felt all too Walter Smithy today.

Made me laugh that.. BUT:

Cows can run up to 20mph. Usain Bolt's 100m average is about 23mph.

I think you're being kind to Bily there.
