Bill Kenwright

Not saying it is or that the football decisions have been sound but bull gets away with murder for how little he has done for the club monetary wise
This is the issue though. He cant put it what isn't there so we lived within our means with whatever money we did make going back into the squad to give our best players (and Moyes) better deals so they didn't jib us off.

It was hardly a case of Mike Ashley sitting on piles of money whilst running them into decline whilst not spending anything.

Say his name, you ungrateful shower of bastards!

….just perhaps, this is the first window that Kenwright hasn’t interfered.

if that is the case, we’re being asked to thank him for doing nothing.
He's definitely still phoning clubs up.

DBB said so

Our Director of Football Kevin Thelwell and manager Frank Lampard are working diligently with support from our Chairman to further strengthen the playing ranks of our men’s squad, operating within a clear financial structure and with appropriate pragmatism.

What about the board members who he got
to buy up shares the likes of that Robert Earl, there was money there they just didn’t want to put it in then got a maximum return on there investment

I attended every AGM at that time and followed every bit of news on it. These excuses were never offered because they could never be substantiated as unfavourable. Kenwright offered no answers to the questions. The reverse mortgage was for an absolute pittance and we were getting a 49% stake..... making us the single biggest stakeholder. Entitled to all football related income, with a director who was going to benefit from the other activities. How can that have possibly not been in our favour? The power struggle that ensued was what sunk the deal...... the Council, Liverpool vision, city planners and other stakeholders couldn't believe it. They'd assembled a financial package of leveraged enabling development and investment funds and grants and the club turned it down!! All well documented!

Completely disagree for reasons already conveyed, you have a different opinion granted, i don't share it.

Absolute shocker of a thread.

Has he apologised to blatantly lying to the fans.
He told us we had to leave Goodison as it would fail the H&S very soon, that was many years ago. All because he wanted his cheap ground move.
Always in it for himself, only appears in the food times, popped up on Granada news every week when we in Europa under Moyes, never to be seen in the bad times.
Wouldn’t sell the club until he was guaranteed a place to stay on.
His legacy will always be the least successful chairman in Everton history.

And making millions off it to boot

It's time for a certain sect of GOT to swallow humble pie and admit Ken got it Wright by picking mosh and being our chairman.

This window has smeared egg upon the faces of the ingreats.

The floor is yours.. buckos.
Lads, he’s clearly messing about showing how easy it is to invoke Kenwright fume. I don’t want him at Everton either come on, our cause isn’t bettered by being victimised slugs who are highly reactive to obvious satire.

Haha really read what you have just wrote, you actually said

"the club's finances under Kenwright were an absolute mess"

You wrote that a few weeks after we have just had to sell a player because FFP restrictions were a reality 6 or so years into a successor took control of the club.

Kenwright is still chairman now.... what has happened has happened while he's literally been the man running the club. Moshiri spent a fortune just getting rid of our initial debt and handed over the cheque book to the board who without Moyes then squandered fortunes.

At the time of the kings dock debacle (one of several), the club always had to sell to buy just to keep the wolves from the door. We were that desperate that we sold Englands top prospect to Man Utd at the very first opportunity, for a fraction of his value, and couldn't find the meager amount required to fulfil our contribution to the stadium bargain of the century. Again..... all well documented!

The most compelling thing about Kenwright is that you can use him as very obvious satirical topic and his detractors either won’t work out you’re taking the piss or will ignore that and proceed into paragraphs of the same stuff said in a slightly different way for the two hundredth time on here.

When you view every topic through the lens of whether it makes good bait, or how best to use it as bait, are you not in some sense also dangling off the proverbial hook(s)?

You haven't given reasons.... you mentioned a tiny reversed mortgage for a true state of the art stadium in an amazing location. Which was only a part of our contribution and trivial. You said we would be beholden to other stakeholders holders when we were infact comfortably the biggest single stake holder. All matchday income was going to be ours..... again contrary to what you've said. So, we've effectively thrown away nearly 2 decades of increased income streams and raised status. We would've literally seized the centre ground of our who city region and elevated our club in an era when LFC only had 45k seats and 32 boxes. All in all we shot ourselves in the foot and have never recovered (so far)
