There are many reasons why 'Super Bill' should go. For me, one of the best (that still makes me chuckle) was the Deli Ali fiasco. Here was a player that was well past his 'sell by date'. Numerous Tottenham managers had tried to rekindle the Deli Ali of old, only to realise that that player was gone and he wasn't coming back. Tottenham were left with an expensive dud on their hands. Enter Everton. We'll find the old Deli Ali but we'll have to buy him first and we know that the Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, drives a hard bargain. We'd better send in a hard nosed negotiator. I know, why not send 'luvvy Bill'?

The only “Evertonian“ capable of smiling after yesterday and he couldn’t help himself when he saw the camera. A little theatrical light lit up in him. I‘m glad the invisible covert security staff he had in abundance because of all the tangible threats kept him safe…. Moshiri‘s were far more menacing and visible.
