Are you saying Moshiri hasnt had a whole litany of well documented failures? Do you agree Moshiri has been instrumental in allowing this club to fall down the pecking order so dramatically?
Out of interest do you agree with the majority of Evertonians that Moshiri has made catastrophic failures to move the club forward?
You talk about managed decline but neglect to mention how European football was a regular under Kenwrights ownership of Everton, as for selling our best players what do you think we are going to be doing next summer? Were you impressed with the 1.7 we had to spend last summer thanks to Moshiri and his mate Kia blowing billions
Btw..... Where have I said Moshiri is blameless? But feel free to list his litany of well documented failures that cannot be at least equally attributed to our current board who actually manage the club.
Are you really going to try to compare how much has been spent under Moshiri to being bottom of the net spend for over a decade? He gave this board the money, breaking our transfer budget record spends repeatedly... what more could he do? They squandered it!
By falling down the pecking order i mean in terms of size of fanbase, income/spend and stadium. At the start of the Premier league we were in the top few clubs by any of those metrics..... the club moshiri inherited was nowhere near that top group! He made the mistake of trusting this board and throwing money at them.... but our postion in that pecking order was secured before he arrived. Don't conflate or confuse our current league position with our actual status which was in steady but terminal decline before he arrived.
At no point have I said I'm a big fan of Moshiri at all..... but to blame him while completely ignoring the fact that your hero is still the chairman and the long term decline and barren spell of the previous 20yrs is both revisionist and farcical.
Btw.... we had just a few years of European footy... (the least I'd expect with so many european places afforded our league) and we never came close to winning anything! However, the point is our number of European games is absolutely tiny compared many other clubs..... the club that led the move to a premier league has barely touched European football in reality.
