Bill Kenwright OR USA Consortium

Whoever owns the club just needs to run it responsibly. Kenwright has made the biggest move in the right direction with hiring Moyes. The general impression is Everton punches far above its weight in the EPL.

Now, the incessant lack of funding is frustrating to no end, because it pretty much precludes any real run of excellence and we're left hoping just for a miracle season before the inevitable tear-down. However, it could be worse. A bad ownership consortium to a club like Everton (without a real world-wide brand) would be devastating. The RS can absorb that crap and come back, we wouldn't be able to.

Doesnt matter where the investment comes from, its about where that investment comes from and the strategy of how it used.

This is awfull news, if the RS debts are wiped they become a major force agian, im afraid.

Ford isn't rich enough to "wipe out their debts" he could put almost 0% interest on existing loans but thats still a £200million+ debt to be paid off which could take 10 + years!

Small print mate, when he says taking the debt well away... its got to go somewhere. Small print.

As for us, our time's coming. Certain of it.

The detail remains to be seen mate, but i thought i read somewhere that they were wipeing out the existing debts.

They actually have a tiy buissness if they were debt free and it was managed properly.

If it's the right Americans, then I'd be all for it. Just as if were the right South Americans, right Asian, or right Middle Eastern owners.

They've got to have Everton's best interests in line with their own. If they don't (like Hicks & Gillett), we'll just follow the same fate as the [Poor language removed].

There is a right way to do this. I think Lerner at Villa is about as close as it's come so far. Reasonable spending and not much interference.

I'd rather have Kenwright than someone like Dan Snyder. But if someone like Ted Leonsis bought the club, I'd be ecstatic. (Leonsis buying the club is highly unlikely since he already owns the Capitals and the Wizards).

Wiping out the existing debts and creating new ones. They don't have the cash to pony up for LFC.

bill every time, he hasnt saddled us with crippling debts. new owners always come in and spend big while loaning the money in the clubs name, they skim off any profits and if(when) it goes tits up they do one and leave the club to clean up the mess from a lower division- see leeds, portsmouth and liverpool (LFC subject to rule changes regarding administration)
